We provide detailed insights into emission values and reduction opportunities – based on your raw data!

TELUSIO’s vision is to enable manufacturing companies to produce CO2e-neutral products to make a significant contribution to the climate neutrality of our economy. With our solutions, we enable the automated determination of the CO2e footprint of products (product carbon footprint). The findings from this serve as an objective and transparent baseline to take reduction decisions and to offer CO2e-neutral products in the future. This goal is our incentive.

Our History

TELUSIO was founded at the beginning of 2023 as a spin-off from the Chair of Digital Services and Sustainability at the Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich (Prof. Johann Kranz), including funding from the Federal Ministry of Economics and Climate Protection (BMWK), to offer companies a data and algorithm-based methodology for the precise and robust calculation of product carbon footprints. TELUSIO is managed by Dr. Johannes Weibl, who founded TELUSIO after completing his doctorate in Big Data at the Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich and Columbia University in the City of New York and working in the data and digitalization sector for several years.

The data-based approach has inspired well-known manufacturing companies since the beginning, with whom TELUSIO is maintaining a close partnership ever since.

TELUSIO and Roman mythology – what’s behind the name

The name TELUSIO is a combination of the Latin word Tellus and the short form for input and output io. In Roman mythology, Tellus is the deity of the mother earth. With our focus on the product carbon footprint and our calculation methodology, we take a closer look at the flow of goods into the company (input) and out of the company (output). In this way, we support our customers on their way to CO2 neutrality – also in the supply chain.
