About
TELUSIO
We provide detailed insights into emission values and reduction opportunities – based on your raw data!
TELUSIO’s vision is to enable manufacturing companies to produce CO2e-neutral products to make a significant contribution to the climate neutrality of our economy. With our solutions, we enable the automated determination of the CO2e footprint of products (product carbon footprint). The findings from this serve as an objective and transparent baseline to take reduction decisions and to offer CO2e-neutral products in the future. This goal is our incentive.
Our expertise
What sets TELUSIO apart
Full-service Provider
Benefit from our expertise and comprehensive range of services. These range from initial workshops on the topic of product carbon footprint to the automated determination of the CO2e emissions of your entire product portfolio.
Algorithm-based Quantification and Learning System
Our learning TELUSIO Engine enables the automatic recognition of input data (e.g. materials). The assignment of your materials and components to emission factors or the inclusion of primary data from suppliers is based on our algorithm.
High Level of Detail and Verification
Our work is based on the activity-based method in accordance with the GHG protocol and ISO standard 14067 (bottom-up approach), including verification by GUTCert.
Scalable and Systematic
With our structured data-based approach and our TELUSIO Engine, we enable the determination of the product carbon footprint of your products in a resource-saving manner.
Robust and Future-oriented
Our software- and data-based approach enables a high level of transparency and verifiability of the calculation and results. In addition, we can flexibly process and combine emission values from your suppliers as well as from recognized emission databases.
Structured data preparation
You send us your unprocessed input data; we take care of the data processing and emission quantification. Finally, we prepare various analysis options for you. In addition, purchased composite components are no longer a black box. We use our TELUSIO method to determine their emissions.
Our History
TELUSIO was founded at the beginning of 2023 as a spin-off from the Chair of Digital Services and Sustainability at the Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich (Prof. Johann Kranz), including funding from the Federal Ministry of Economics and Climate Protection (BMWK), to offer German companies a data and algorithm-based methodology for the precise and robust calculation of product carbon footprints. TELUSIO is managed by Dr. Johannes Weibl, who founded TELUSIO after completing his doctorate in Big Data at the Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich and Columbia University in the City of New York and working in the data and digitalization sector for several years.
The data-based approach has inspired well-known manufacturing companies since the beginning, with whom TELUSIO is maintaining a close partnership ever since.
