Supply chain emissions
determined activitybased
Discover emission hotspots and ensure your SBTi & CSRD compliance
Do you have difficulties recording all the emissions data from your suppliers and transport routes?
With TELUSIO, manufacturers can use an AI-based, verified and scalable method to determine emissions in the upstream supply chain (Scope 3.1 and 3.4) down to each purchased part and material. Discover emission hotspots and ensure your SBTi & CSRD compliance!
„The AI-based filling of data gaps and the dynamic calculation of emission values for over 100,000 purchased goods make it possible to calculate supply chain emissions.“
David Meier
Senior Risk- and Sustainability Manager Corporate Procurement bei Krones
Added value of calculating supply chain emissions
No more inaccurate spend-based calculation approach
AI-supported automation of CO2e calculation, including completion of master data for all purchased goods
Future-proof and detailed overview of the CO2 emissions of all purchased goods (Scope 3.1)

TELUSIO
How does it work?
Automatic and intelligent data completion
The AI-based TELUSIO Engine processes large volumes of data quickly and efficiently by recognising data gaps and filling them with the help of artificial intelligence.
Transparent and scalable activity-based calculation
The AI-based TELUSIO engine assigns identified purchased goods directly to corresponding emission values. These calculations extend not only to simple production parts, but also to complex purchased composite components, such as sensors, semiconductors or entire control cabinets.
Extension with primary data
The TELUSIO Engine can check the quality of primary values and enter them dynamically.
The strategic added value of calculating emissions from the upstream supply chain at a glance
Establishment of an accurate data-based foundation for making informed decisions on emissions reduction (SBTi).
Future-proof, ISO-compliant emissions results for reporting to external stakeholders and regulations.
Direct comparison of a supplier’s stated primary values with scientifically based literature benchmark values.
Ideal preparation for calculating the activity-based Product Carbon Footprints (PCF).
Our Offer
With the TELUSIO Engine, companies can efficiently and completely calculate the emissions of the upstream supply chain. By using artificial intelligence, the TELUSIO Engine makes it possible to:
- Automatically recognise the underlying materials of the purchased goods
- Direct allocation of the identified materials to the corresponding scientifically based emission factors
The TELUSIO Engine thus conserves internal resources and enables a transparent, data-driven calculation of emissions in the upstream supply chain.
The transparency created enables companies to fulfil their regulatory reporting obligations and calculate activity-based CO₂ emissions for purchased goods in compliance with the CSRD. This process is verified in accordance with ISO standard 14067 and the GHG Protocol.
Furthermore, the knowledge gained serves as a basis for strategic decisions on reducing emissions.
Practical insight: Calculating emissions from the upstream supply chain based on data, recognising emission hotspots
The process of manually reviewing purchased goods and collecting primary emissions data from suppliers proved to be extremely resource-intensive for the Krones Group with high purchasing volumes.
In addition, suppliers were hardly able to provide any information on the emissions of the products they sold to Krones. The few primary data received also had to be checked for plausibility, another labour-intensive step.
In order to be able to calculate the emissions of the goods for which no reliable primary values were available accurately and reliably, an activity-based, automatic calculation method was indispensable.
Read here how TELUSIO fills AI-based data gaps, automatically assigns emission values to purchased goods and checks primary values for accuracy. Fully automatic – resource-saving and scalable.
