Koenig & Bauer was looking for a solution provider that could quantify the Product Carbon Footprint even on the basis of moderately good master data and automate manual calculation steps. About half of the bill-of-materials items were incomplete, the machines consist of more than 10,000 individual parts, and the previous calculation was done manually and time-consumingly in Excel.

Telusio improved data quality by automatically deriving weights from Koenig & Bauer's IT systems and correctly assigning materials and purchased parts. As a result, more than 95% of bill-of-materials items now contain all the information required for the PCF calculation — including real-time evaluation of CO2 figures per item, product group, assembly and material.
