Starting point

Heterogeneous products with different materials and supply chains created complex Scope 3 structures. Supplier data was incomplete, with limited emission and material transparency for purchased parts and trading goods. Purely spend-based Scope 3 calculations were not sufficient to identify and reduce emission hotspots reliably.

Solution with Telusio

Telusio built a reliable analysis basis for Scope 3 emissions along the supply chain: PCFs of selected products serve as the basis for transferable assumptions, complemented by AI-based, scientifically grounded assumptions including supplier validation — from data preparation and modeling to calculation and results.

Results

  • Scope 3 transparency created for sustainability reports
  • Hotspots identified by material, production and transport
  • Scalable across further product categories
  • No additional internal resource effort required
With Telusio, we were able to use PCFs specifically as an analysis tool — methodologically ISO-compliant and even with data gaps.
