Starting point

Bausch+Ströbel has published its Corporate Carbon Footprint (CCF) for years. The next step in its sustainability strategy was to determine the Product Carbon Footprint (PCF) of individual machines. To do so, the company was looking for a solution provider that could analyze complex machinery and convince with a transparent, scientific methodology — without spending its own resources on learning the calculation methodology and on preparing incomplete master data.

Solution with Telusio

With Telusio came the solution: just six weeks after project start, the PCF results were usable — without any in-house IT or sustainability resources. All relevant CO2 figures for items, product groups, assemblies and materials can since be retrieved and analyzed at the push of a button.

Results

  • PCF results usable within 6 weeks
  • CO2 values per item, assembly and material available at the push of a button
  • Transparent methodology according to the Greenhouse Gas Protocol
  • Clear roadmap for further automating PCF determination
We only sent TELUSIO an unprocessed data export. Within 6 weeks, we had a Product Carbon Footprint for our complex machine.
