From complex product data to a PCF comparison of two products in line with ISO 14067 — AI-supported by Telusio.

HAWE planned to calculate the Product Carbon Footprint (PCF) of two hydraulic components from the same series in order to make emission differences visible and promote more sustainable product design. The data was scattered across different systems, initially only 68% of the relevant data was usable, internal capacity for data preparation was lacking, and many suppliers as well as additional intralogistics between HAWE sites made allocation harder.
Solution with Telusio
Together with Telusio, HAWE carried out the PCF calculation. Telusio first consolidated and completed the relevant data, mainly bills of materials. Within four weeks, the PCF and the detailed differences between the two components were calculated according to the Greenhouse Gas Protocol (activity-based method).
