The legislative instrument for improving the sustainability and transparency of many products is coming into force in the form of many individual regulations.
Industries such as batteries, textiles and consumer electronics are among the first areas in which the digital product passport (DPP) is being introduced. In future, the DPP will become mandatory for around 30 further product categories. The implementation timeline is expected to extend between 2026 and 2030.
In the following whitepaper, you will find out when and to what extent the different industries must have collected and published information for the digital product passport – and what exactly needs to be considered.

The digital product passport is a significant regulatory step towards a more sustainable and transparent market. It is important to prepare for this initiative now, as non-compliance can have major financial consequences. In addition, implementing the rules is complex and time-consuming, which is why timely preparation is important.
If companies prepare now, they can not only meet the upcoming regulations but also position themselves as sustainability pioneers. The DPP will play a crucial role in closing information gaps, promoting the circular economy and driving the transition to a green economy.
