Telusio receives BayTOU funding – AI for CO₂ transparency and Product Carbon Footprints

Telusio has been awarded BayTOU funding by the Bavarian State Ministry of Economic Affairs, Regional Development and Energy – an important step in our mission to make CO₂ transparency in industrial supply chains scalable.

The funding from the Bavarian programme for technology-oriented start-ups (BayTOU) supports us in further developing our AI-based sustainability software. The goal is to enable industrial companies to calculate ISO-compliant Product Carbon Footprints (PCFs) for entire product portfolios at the push of a button – even when supplier data is missing or master data is incomplete.

Why CO₂ transparency matters now

Industrial and retail companies are under increasing regulatory and market pressure to demonstrate the climate impact of their supply chains – whether for the Digital Product Passport (DPP), the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) or customer requirements.

But the data needed to calculate the carbon footprint of products precisely is often missing. This is exactly where Telusio comes in: our AI solution fills data gaps automatically and enables reliable, traceable calculations – even for complex bills of materials.

“With BayTOU, we can expand our technology faster. Our goal is that sustainability no longer fails because of missing data”, says Dr. Johannes Weibl, founder and CEO of Telusio.

From data gap to decarbonisation

Telusio combines CO₂ analytics, data management and artificial intelligence to calculate and optimise Product Carbon Footprints along the entire supply chain.
Our platform helps companies to:

  • identify CO₂ hotspots in product structures,
  • evaluate material and supplier alternatives,
  • and make data-based decisions along cost and emission factors.

This creates a basis for Scope 3 reductions, ESG reporting and strategic procurement.

A strong signal for innovation from Bavaria

For Telusio, the BayTOU funding marks not only a financial but also a symbolic milestone: a signal of the importance of digital technologies in industrial decarbonisation – and proof that innovation and sustainability can go hand in hand.

We thank the Bavarian Ministry of Economic Affairs and Bavarian Technology Funding (BayTOU) for their trust – and our team for the passion with which they work every day on solutions for a climate-neutral industry.
